Chennai@Pacific brings you banana leaf meals with four types of gravy, i.e. fish, chicken, dhalca and vegetable curries. The meals are served with vegetable dishes of fried cabbage, long beans, cucumber and carrot. The set meals comprised of steamed white rice with rasam, tairu, poppadum and lime/mango pickles. Diners may choose any side dish of their choice such as chicken pepper or chicken varuvel, mutton pratel or mutton varuvel, fish curry head or fried tenggiri fish, prawn masala or squid sambal and selection of additional items such as tauhu sambal or dried bitter gourd.

Diners at Chennai@Pacific may order refreshing desserts after all the delicious spread. Try out ‘payasam’, a rice pudding from the Indian subcontinent, made by boiling rice, broken wheat, tapioca, or vermicelli with milk and sugar.  It is delicately flavoured with cardamom and assortment of nuts.

You may want to try ‘laddu’, an Indian sweet that is hard to resist. It is made from a mixture of flour, sugar, and shortening, which is shaped into a ball. We have the mouth-watering ‘gulab jamun’ that melts in your mouth; a classic Indian dessert, deep-fried paneer boiled in a sugar syrup that is very famous and is enjoyed in most festive and celebration meals.
